    Drugs are what humans made out of them.

    We labeled plants with the same word we use for substances cooked up in labs from those plants. That's a category error. This page sticks to facts — not propaganda, not excuses.

    Myth vs. truth

    Cannabis is a drug.

    Cannabis is a plant. Raw THCA (before decarboxylation) is NOT psychoactive and supports the endocannabinoid system (CB1/CB2).[1],[2],[3]

    Coca = cocaine.

    The coca leaf is a nutrient with mild stimulation. Cocaine is a lab derivative with additives — those additives drive the addiction.[6],[7],[8]

    Poppy = heroin.

    Poppy seed is food. Opiates are isolated extracts — strong analgesia + high addiction risk. Two very different things.[9],[10],[11]

    Coffee is the only stimulant plant.

    Yaupon (Ilex vomitoria) is a North-American shrub with caffeine-like effects, longer and gentler — economically suppressed by its repulsive name.[12],[13]

    The endocannabinoid system — why this matters

    CB1 and CB2 receptors are already in you. Without activation, the brain "sends" but the cell can't reply — communication is one-way. With activation (via endogenous or plant cannabinoids), the cell sends feedback about what it needs. Two-way. Like an internet with a working ping.[2],[3],[5]

    They grow in nature, they are here, they are for us to use. Hemp gives us so much more than a "drug" — it gives us food, clothing, construction, oil, fiber and health.

    So we say: the plant is not the problem. Humans are.

    The problem isn't the plant. The problem is lab isolation + additives + economic interests + dishonest framing. The fix is honesty about the facts, science-based regulation, and a return to whole plants.
