“Last refreshed” for LOVE Flow DEX is pulled live from our public ticker every 30 seconds. The other sources don’t expose a public freshness timestamp — values shown are observed, not reported by them.

Rule of thumb: trust the source where you can actually buy and sell. Right now that's LOVE Flow DEX.

    Compare two sources

Pick any two sources and compare their LOVE/USD price side-by-side. LOVE Flow DEX auto-fills from our live ticker; for the others, type the price you see on their site.

Warning threshold: ±5%. Healthy markets stay tight; large gaps almost always mean a stale or illiquid feed, not a trading opportunity.

How we calculate the trust level

No black box. Each source gets 1 point for every check it passes (max 3). The label in the table maps directly to the score.

    1. 1. Real liquidity (+1)

Are there actual buyers and sellers right now? We require a live order book with non-zero 24h volume that we can independently verify (on-chain on Stellar, or via the exchange's public API). A frozen snapshot does not count.

    2. 2. Live refresh (+1)

Does the price update within minutes of a real trade? We check the timestamp of the last trade. If it's hours, days, or weeks old, the feed is stale and the point is not awarded — even if the source is technically still listed.

    3. 3. Auditable data feed (+1)

Can anyone independently reproduce the number? On-chain Stellar trades and our internal ledger are public and replayable. A second-hand snapshot pulled from a now-broken API is not — so it does not earn the point.

    Score → label mapping
    • High
      3 / 3 — all three checks pass (e.g. LOVE Flow DEX).
    • Low
1 / 3 — listed somewhere, but liquidity or refresh fails (e.g. CMC, VinDax).
    • None
      0 / 3 — no live tracking at all (e.g. CoinGecko, currently de-listed).
    Why this matters

A high price on a Low-trust source is not a price you can actually get. If you act on a stale or unverifiable number, you can buy too high or sell too low — and there's no order book to cancel against. Always cross-check on a High-trust source before you trade.

Before you trade — 60-second checklist

Run through these five checks every time you see a LOVE Coin price on a third-party site. If any one fails, do not trade there.

    1. 1
      Check 24h volume

If the pair shows under ~$500 of real 24h volume, the price is decorative. You won't get filled near it.

    2. 2
      Check the last trade time

Open the chart. If the last candle is hours or days old, the feed is frozen — you're looking at history, not a market.

    3. 3
      Check the data source

Aggregators (CMC, CoinGecko) are not exchanges. The actual order book lives elsewhere — find it before you click buy.

    4. 4
      Check order book depth

Look at bids and asks within ±2% of the price. If the book is thin or empty, your exit price will be much worse than what's shown.

    5. 5
      Cross-check on LOVE Flow DEX

Compare the third-party number against LOVE Flow DEX (on-chain Stellar). If they disagree by more than a few percent, trust LOVE Flow DEX — that's where real trades clear.

    Plain-language glossary

    Liquidity
How easily you can actually buy or sell at the displayed price. Low liquidity means the price you see is not the price you'll get.
    Refresh / price feed
How often the displayed price is updated. If it's not refreshed, you may be looking at a price from days or weeks ago.
    Data source
Where the number comes from — a live blockchain, an exchange's order book, or a cached snapshot. Live > snapshot.
    Aggregator (CMC, CoinGecko)
A third-party site that collects prices from many exchanges. Useful for visibility, but not where trading actually happens.
    De-listed
Removed from the aggregator's list — usually for inactivity. The token still exists, it's just not shown there.

Why a price feed goes stale — and how to spot it

Linked from the VinDax warning. If you saw a number on CMC, CoinGecko or VinDax that does not match LOVE Flow DEX, this is why.

Why does the price stop refreshing?
Aggregators (CMC, CoinGecko) pull data from an exchange's API. If the exchange shuts that API down, stops trading the pair, or has no real volume, the aggregator keeps showing the last known number — sometimes for weeks or months. The number on the screen is real history, not a real market price.
How can I tell if a price feed is stale?
Check three things: (1) 24h volume — if it's $0 or a few dollars, no one is actually trading there. (2) Last trade time — if the order book has not moved in hours or days, the price is frozen. (3) Order book depth — if there are no real buyers or sellers near the price, you cannot exit at that number. When in doubt, compare to LOVE Flow DEX, where every trade is on-chain.
What specifically happened with VinDax & CMC?
VinDax used to feed LOVE Coin data to CoinMarketCap. That API integration is no longer maintained, so CMC is showing an old VinDax snapshot with no live refresh. CoinGecko de-listed the pair entirely for inactivity. Neither reflects what's happening on Stellar today.
    So what should I trust?
Trust the source where you can actually buy and sell right now. For LOVE Coin that's LOVE Flow DEX (on-chain Stellar) and our public Market Insights tracker. Treat any aggregator number as a hint, not a quote.

    Request relisting / data refresh

Each submission is a community signal we forward to the aggregator's listing team. The more requests, the higher the priority.
